Answers to donating JW's about contributions, why not?

after reading another post it came to me that any corporation, even non profit has to answer about funds collected and spent... which needs to be tallied by an outside accounting firm and made public for all to see.. i was the president of a large condo complex and every dollar spent, collected, etc., had to be accounted for and if there were any questions, i was available for answers.. so here is my question for the wbts,...why is it you feel you can collect, millions of dollars, perhaps billions and not answer to your contributors as to where this money went , where it was invested, what personnel recieved what, etc.

this needs to be answered by an outside firm that is nuetral and not sympathetic in anyway to your financial objectives.. do i think this will happen, no.

My Mom passed away today.

after a lenthy illness, 10 years in total, my mother, margaret stecko, passed away peacefully today surrounded by family.

she was 84, and leaves behind 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

she was a jw but never shunned me.

Thank you for sharing that lovely tribute with us. Reading it was difficult as it brings back similar memories in my own life. Wishing you all the best as you get through the difficult days ahead. I believe it was Maya Angelou who said that, regardless of the relationship you had with your parents, you will miss them when they are gone. For many of us a bittersweet yet, nevertheless, life-affirming experience.

Dear Persons Unduly Concerned With Competitive Sportive Activity,

Will you be recording the entire day's events so as to not miss having a full and meaningful share in spiritual activities? Will you be sure to have procured a full night's sleep 31 December in order to be coherent and bright the following morning? Will the spirits directing you that day be our heavenly brothers or those from a bottle that egg you on to immoderateness and sloth? I do find your attachment to a porcine integument kicked mercilessly about the gridiron most unsettling and hereby announce that I am stumbled. On the other hand, I can be broad of mind and spirit. May those contestants for whom you noisily applaud, i.e., root, be fleet of foot and carry their banners proudly into a season of illustrious victory. I have no idea what I'm talking about.

And Bernadette -- yes, the lil' beasties that followed us about in service! More joie! I was remembering having forgotten about Malemutes. Would so many of us have tails-to-tell if more of the elders had been mute males? If they had been struck dumb during a humiliating announcement or judicial committee meeting. Then had to resort to facial gestures and charades to make their point. We respond to their muzzled and frustrated attempts at communication: "I'm sorry, Brother Dumbstruck, it may be easy for you to say, but you are not making yourself clear -- I'm outa here!" If we couldn't laugh, then we'd have to cry and we've all had enuf o' that!

Apart from not wishing to be mauled to death, she knew Sister Shield was a dog-lover and would protect her. So how was it for you out in service? Did the dogs love you or hate you? That's why I call 'em bark-calls. If only their bark WERE worse than their bite.
